Sebenarnya susah tidaknya pekerjaan tergantung drimana kita memandang. Klo kita ga punya keinginan untuk belajar hal-hal yg baru ya bakal berat ngehadapinya. But If you have passion, all problems will be new experience.. Mumpung masih muda cari ilmu sebanyak-banyaknya, ga usah terlalu memperhitungkan brapa gaji yg bakal didapat. Asal cukup buat makan, ngekos, entertain dll. hahahaa

Pada awalnya sih, agak kecewa dengan pekerjaan yg kurang technical tetapi lebih ke management. Tpi lama2 sih seneng jga, lumayan belajar jadi calon manager. hahaha

Kerjaan saya seputaran IP Migrasi HCPT Region Jabodetabek : pada intinya IP migrasi itu mengubah jaringan TDM (E1) ke jaringan IP. Keuntungan dari IP migrasi itu memudahkan dalam upgrade karena ke depannya nanti semua peragkat bakal berbasis IP, jadi ya biar mudah aja ntar kalau mau integrasi.

Tugas yg aku dapat ada banyak:

1. ATP

ATP tu Acceptance Test Protocol. Kira2 kayakuji perangkat buat serah terima dari Roll Out (RO) ke Manage Service (MS). berhubung saya di RO tugas saya adalah, menyuruh subcon2 yang sudah melakukan migrasi untuk sesegera mungkin ATP ke site2 itu, biar site2 itu apabila ada trouble bakal jadi tanggung jawab MS (bukan RO lagi). Awalnya susah untuk menyuruh para subcon2 yg bandel buat ATP. Bingung jga sih, sebenarnya ketika subcon berhasil ATP, mereka bakal dapat Fee, tpi knp kok susah skali diajak buat ATP. Senangnya disine bisa jadi boss dri para subcon( hehee..)Punya pengalaman buat ngatur pergerakan para subcon biar smua berjalan dgn baik.

2. CR (Change Request)
CR itu seperti permohon ijin kepada pihak costumer (operator) buat mematikan site dalam jangka waktu tertentu. biasanya sih dini hari jam 00.00 sampe 04.00. karena di jam itu, sedikit pengguna yg lgi gunain network. Contohnya ketika mau IP migrasi, site bakal mati dalam beberapa jam karena akan direkonfigure ulang dijadiin IP.

3. SWAP

SWAP itu pegantian perangkat dari Vendor lama ke Vendor Baru (Huawei). Ini kerjaan yang paling ribet, karena pasti ada aja masalahnya sampai blm ATP. ada yg lacking material dll

Overall, Saya mulai terbiasa dengan cara kerjanya. terbias pulang malam (x_x), terbiasa push dang di push. hahaha

ada pertemuan pasti akan ada perpisahan.. cepat atau lambat pasti smua ini bakal terjadi. hehehe..

Untung masih ada kesempatan ngeblog dulu sebelum laptop dikembalikan ke kantor. hahahaa..

udah kurang lebih 1 tahun saya bekerja di PT Multimedia Nusantara by Telkom Indonesia dengan SBU Metrasat. Ini tempat kerja saya yg pertama kali.
Bersyukur banget bisa punya pengalaman kerja di Metrasat.. smua ekspektasi saya tentang kerjaan yg saya inginkan hampir semua terpenuhi. Bisa keliling Indonesia gratis, knew a lot of culture of Indonesi, Gaji ma SPJ yang menarik, rekan kerja yang asyik. Pokoknya mantap deh..

tapi segala sesuatunya berubah karena adanya tawaran yg lebih menarik, dan mungkin bisa mengeksplor potensi kemampuan yang saya miliki dan bisa memberikan tantangan tersendiri karena bekerja di multinasional company.

dalam dunia telco, pindah kerjaan adalah biasa, banyak hal positif yg bisa diambil salah satunya buat batu loncatan ke perusahaan yg lebih baik. Tapi ada hal negatifnya juga, karena loyalitas kita dipertanyakan. Segala sesuatu punya resiko masing2.. Tergantung hati nurani masing2.

Saya mau mengucapkan terima kasih buat semua keluarga besar Metrasat. Especially buat

Pasti suatu saat saya bakal kangen ma pointing, xpole, dan create. hahaaha… Smoga Metrasat tetap jadi market leader di bisnis telekomunikasi satelit dan terus berkembang di bidang lain..

after 2 hours, I have finished my personal statement.. THIS IS IT.. hahaha

My interest in telecommunication comes since I was in senior high school, when I like math and physic. I decided to take up telecommunication because it’s an important feature in our daily lives.  Telecommunication has developed tremendously over the last twenty years, and I have keen interest to be a part of them.  I have always deeply interested in following the development of telecommunication.

I studied at Institute Technology of Telkom in Indonesia and choosing a degree in telecommunication engineering from 2006 until 2010. I got cum laude with GPA 3.65. During 3.5 years I got a lot off knowledge about transmission microwave, satellite, and networking. It’s very interesting when my study about telecommunication is used in my work.

I am currently working at Multimedia Nusantara by Telkom Indonesia as a VSAT Engineer. Multimedia Nusantara is popular Satellite Service Company in Indonesia. As a VSAT Engineer, I have responsibilities to installation and maintenance of Satellite service around Indonesia. This job is very fun because I have the opportunity to travel around Indonesia and know variety of cultural and natural resources in Indonesia. This position allowed me to develop my personal communication skills because there are many languages which I have met.

Studying Telecommunication and Information Technology at an advanced level has been very helpful in developing my project for Indonesia. I want to pursue Master Program in Malaysia, because I’m not satisfied with my knowledge that I have today. I think study at developed country such as Malaysia is a challenge and an answer to my curiosity. I am sure that I will face difficult problems, but surely that with hard work I will get through and will result in new experience and knowledge.

Malaysia welcomes aspiring students from all over the world because I believe that a multicultural and multinational campus will enrich students’ experiences in terms of social and cultural diversity. Students have the opportunity to meet people from various cultures and ethnic backgrounds and develop a cross cultural understanding among them.

Once I have gained master, I plan on continue my career in Indonesia and work in PT. XL Axiata, one of the largest cellular players in the Asia Pacific region. The development telecommunication in Indonesia is going rapidly. There are many operators compete to expand their service, May I would be able to contribute for the expansion of this company in the future.

In my spare time I enjoy playing football, fitness, and running, which I find the perfect way of keeping fit. I also play music as a guitar player and perform at least once a month. Pop and Jazz are my favorites genre. I also like reading books; there are about telecommunication and motivation books. One of my favorite books is “The Purpose Driven of Life” by Rick Warren.

I want everybody who read it may give me some criticism or suggestion.

pekanbaru is a provincial capital of Riau. A few years ago, Riau has vast teritorial. But now, It’s have been divided into two provincial, Riau and Riau island. Tanjung pinang is a provincial capital of Riau island.

Pekanbaru is growing rapidly at this time. Because it has a lot of natural wealth such as petroleum, oil palm, and wood log. Many foreign companies invest their capital to exploit natural wealth in Pekanbaru. It’s make Pekanbaru seems like a metropolitan city, because rapid development of urban facilities.it’s also reduce unemployment in pekanbaru and around.

The weather in pekanbaru is very hot and make our skin become black.. hahaa… but there is one place that has a cool weather, the place is called Tebing tinggi. it has nice view.. May you have to try this place, it’s a great place to refreshing..

Ok, i think it’s enough.. next time i will tell about the other cities..

well, today I will explain about IIX (Indonesia Internet Exchange). Anyone have heard about this?? after browsing in Google, I thinks it’s a one of a great solution to develop technology in our country..

Unlike in foreign countries, Internet access in Indonesia has significant differences in terms of infrastructure. in foreign country, they subscribe in one ISP (internet service provider) so the concept is only one that accessing the global network. it’s difference with Indonesia as through separate with global content. This is occurs because lack of integrated inter-regional infrastructure.

IIX is a technology to brings together inter-ISP traffic in Indonesia so it doesn’t need to transit in other countries, where each ISP has internet link (there are to Singapore, Hongkong, Hawaii, Japan, and even europe). It is tended to be ignored by Internet user, IIX has become back bone of Internet service Indonesia although still limited traffic inter-ISP traffic.

ideally, IIX become hub that is connected International Backbone, so it’s same with is connected to global internet. but it’s really hard because need to create a local IIX in level provinces or ouside of Jakarta as a remote node. actually, it is free to join IIX link, because we jut need to pay cost of physical link such as fiber optic, wireless or leased line  but very expensive to for an ISP outside Jakarta, especially outside java because cost of physical link is more expensive than International link include bandwidth capacity directly via satellite to other countries.

Now, local exchange outside of jakarta bgin to planning establishment remote node in bandung , Jogja, surabaya, bali, dan makassar. It’s very encouraging to for ISP that operate outside Jakarta, because it can involve significant cost (cost of local link of course is cheaper than the intercity link and capacity of all ISP can be aggregated into single link to IIX Jakarta.

hopefully, it will be developed until eastern Indonesia, because progress of technology will accelerate development of city in eastern Indonesia.

In this edition.. I will share about MPLIK (Mobil Pusat Layanan Internet Kecamatan) or Mobile Internet service center district.. This is a continuation of the previous USO (universal service obligation) program that is PLIK (Pusat Layanan Internet Kecamatan) or Internet Service Center District. difference of the two is at the level of mobility, plik placed in the home or the cooperative while mplik placed in the car so it can be taken anywhere.

I will explain about PLIK first. PLIK is like a “warnet“or internet cafes are subsidized from department of communication and information to provide internet access throughout Indonesia, whether in cities or in remote villages. in this packet contains VSAT(Very Small Aperture Terminal), 5 CPU, 1 server, switch, UPS, chair, and desk.

VSAT is a satellite communications technology that enables the entire place to get internet access without exception. I was one of METRA’s vsat engineer, so I also doing this project around Indonesia. This vsat is provide bit rate 256 Kbps. it will be divided by server into 5 CPU. it’s  approximately each CPU get 51 Kbps. This may seem slow speeds for urban dwellers, but this is tolerable for rural.

next, I will explain about MPLIK or Mobile Internet Service Center District, This is almost the same as PLIK, which differentiates it from MPLIK is placed in the car. So the car is designed to accommodate the entire packet that contains a VSAT (1.2 m), laptops, servers, UPS, DVD player, LCD TV, and “Genset” to provide electricity. Then mplik can serve the entire district with unlimited mobility. allowing these services can be used by schools or government agencies in the district.

hopefully with this program, all of Indonesia can enjoy the Internet and Indonesia can compete in the world of telecommunications.

hari ini tgl 19 septmbr 2009, kita sekeluarga besar ngrayain ultah abang ma kponakan.  jarang2 sih kami bisa ngumpul smua kecuali klo arisan kluarga. Alya nama kponakanq( mimpinya biar secantik alya rohali hehe..) lgi ultah yg ke-3, baru kali ini gw ikut ngrayain ultahny, krn dulu2 gapernah libur klo pas ngrayain ultahny.  klo abangq ngrayain ultah yg ke-24(udah tua jga ni).. acarnya cuma makan terus, lumayan buat perbaikan gizi setelah tersiksa jd anak kos.
